A woman decides to face a lifelong fear to better position herself to win the heart of a man she barely knows. A man decides to help her win this man because her family pays him. 

I really enjoyed the interactions between the two main characters. Sometimes with Johanna Lindsey's books, and older romance in general, male characters will be one dimensional or ignored completely. However, it was nice to see how he interacted with other characters. This may be a trope I should be paying attention to, but I enjoy pseudo enemies to lovers. I don't think I like people who are actually enemies and have very different beliefs and values getting together. Without any common ground, it is difficult to believe such relationships.
