This is one of these best edge of your seat action books EVER!!! I love this book and the main character (who shows up in other books by these authors) is one of my favorites. If you like action and a little bit of adventure, high-seas and science-fiction, this is for you!

While many parts of this book were fantastic and thrilling, there were aspects of the book that were very grating. The way the authors write women specifically was the hardest to overcome in order to enjoy the book. In one instance, Amira commented on the breasts of the ship's captain when she was running in a way that was so clearly written by a man that I felt icky. There were only two female characters in the entire book and one of the men each fell in love with them. They seemingly had no real purpose except to drive forward the character and the plot that men were leading. That being said, I really loved the drama within the crew and Glinn who seemingly knew everything until the end. I would love to read future books, but I might not stick with it if the women in the book remain so poorly written.

The beginning was sooo slow and single-handedly sent me into a reading slump with the dense exposition and setup for the rest of the story, but MAN does the second half of the book keep you on the edge of your seat!

Solid book just like all the other ones by Preston and Child, I will be looking forward to the sequel.

I have to admit that Preston & Child books are a bit of a guilty pleasure for me. Sometimes they're over the top, but they're almost always a darn good yarn, and Ice Limit is no exception. With a wide cast of interesting characters and a wild plotline, it kept me listening and interested until the very end. I'm also a fan of Scott Brick's narration, so this was a great package for me. Recommended if you like adventure, thrills, and science fiction that could be taking place right now.

Very exciting read! It gets a little drawn out near the end, and certain aspects were a tad predictable, but it was highly entertaining and difficult to put down.

I hate this book and I loved this book. The entire time I was reading this book I was waiting, hoping, grasping for a climax. The plot was slow moving to a painful fault. Yet gave enough that it demanded me to push forward. But the worse and best part of it was the ending where you finally get a taste of the horror you were seeking through the whole book. The book seemed like an extended prelude I could have read the first 10 chapters and the last three and been ready to read the next book. I've never been so frustrated and intrigued by a book. Thank god I didn't read this when it first came out. At least I can go get the next book in the series today. Hopefully for my sanity sake it moves faster than this one.
