These books are always difficult to get into in the beginning, but this one especially so due to my poor memory of the first 3 books. I’m sure I would have enjoyed this more had the others been more memorable. After things being explained again and putting the pieces together, I enjoyed it more the further through the book I got. I am still certain that there are aspects of the world that I don’t truly understand or remember correctly, and that confusion definitely made me not enjoy this as much as I could have.

This series was good…and then in this book what felt like a brand new story arc was slapped in to it with little to no grace, and the reader was expected to follow along like the incredibly intricate threads (pun intended) were clear to understand. Only saving grace was Iseult’s development

I’m saddened that I have to end my Witchlands journey here. This book didn’t have the same feel and flow of the earlier books in the series. I felt no desire or care to pick this book up and finish it. DNF’ed after 100 pages and now it is time to move on.

“Evil is not the enemy, for without it, there can be no good. Chaos, however, is unstoppable.”

Another heart-pounding entry in the Witchlands series. There’s a fast-paced plot, multiple reveals, and plenty of time with our favorite characters (the best part of these books, in my opinion). It isn’t my favorite entry in the series (that title still belongs to Bloodwitch) but it’s still a great read that propels the plot forward and answers several of the series’ long running questions.
