Another Alexander saga
I love the sass the characters have. Great family and friends supporting each other. Funny with a little suspense thrown in. M. Malone writes funny, exciting and engaging stories. Each sequel is worth the wait to read.

Super meh. Skimmed a lot. Some parts dragged and were boring. Wasn’t really feeling the chemistry between the characters. Not sure if I even want to continue with the series.

He's the Man is a real-life look at a couple’s courtship (between two outlandishly sexy, witty, gorgeous, although not perfect, people of course) and I found it quite refreshing. There wasn’t anything fabricated to make them struggle – just real-life issues for two characters that could be as real as you and me.
In He’s The Man, Malone gives her reader a story full of smart dialogue, compelling characters, and a strong story-line. The Alexanders and their friends will draw you in and keep you coming back for more.

I like the writing style of M Malone, I like that the story is carried forward from the previous two books. I know from experience with a Vietnam vet husband that soldiers face much stress assimilating back into civilian life. The story is realistic and well told. Penny is strong of heart giving so much for others, including Matt. Matt is frustrated and skeptical but finally gives therapy his all. Can she help him get back to 100%, and maybe more?

*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*
He's the Man was a solid follow up in this series. This series sucks you in, and while I don't know that there is anything new being created this is exactly what I want from a romance novel.
I loved Matt because despite the fact that he's a little broken, he cares an awful lot about his family. Matt's story could have easily been written without all the PTSD, but it wouldn't have been nearly as good. I loved that Matt was a not a perfect person, he had his flaws but he had the strength to persevere through it.
Penny was awesome. She has such a good heart, and she loves to help people. It was sometimes hard to read because you could see that people have a tendency to take advantage of her. She has a soft heart and that has gotten her into trouble before. I loved that just like the rest of the characters Penny isn't perfect. She can be standoffish, cold, and she runs at commitment. Underneath all of that is someone who has a great capacity for love, but that has burned her before. I liked the fact that she ended up giving Matt a chance.
Overall I give this book a 3 out of 4 stars, it didn't break the mold but again it was a good solid read.
