This could have been such a good book if it hadn’t been for that trope I hate! Ugh. Disappointed.

I love Vi Keeland! Since the first book I ever read of hers, I have been addicted to her stories. I don’t even read blurbs anymore, I just add her books to my TBR when announced and prepare to dive in. I have never been disappointed yet, and I definitely wasn’t here. The Naked Truth was so good, and it was different than anything I have read before! This is definitely a must read!

I don’t want to give away too much about this story, because honestly I think it is best read knowing nothing going in. But Gray and Layla first met under some interesting circumstances. Now they once again meet up again when Layla’s career depends on taking on a new client, and Gray just so happens to be the client. But the first time she was left with a broken heart and now that her career is at stake can she really take a risk on rekindling something when not only her heart but also career are on the line?

I loved these two. Sparks flew right away and I couldn’t get enough. They were interesting and I felt the connection right away. Gray and Layla were captivating, and I felt their relationship was more than just the intense attraction and chemistry between them, but also emotional and deep. I am a sucker for second chance romance stories, especially ones that are unique and this one definitely ticked all the boxes I look for in a great romance.

No one writes like Vi Keeland does, and I think she just gets better with each release. Her writing draws you in immediately and I always feel so invested in her characters and stories. Gray and Layla have become some of my favorites having read The Naked Truth and I think that readers are going to love this one just as much as I did. Check this one out, you won’t want to miss it! I already can’t wait for Vi’s next book!

I really don't know what happened. I truly love almost everything I've read from this author, but this book was just not enough for me. From the very begining I felt liked it dragged and dragged and then came the dissappointment on the charachters, they were lacking something, the depth, the chemistry, the emotional battle to overcome their issues was not just there.

This is going to the history of books as one I force myself to finish, took me about four days to read just a few pages and even though it was not such an enjoyable book for me, I'm still looking for the next one from this author.

Ugh, loved it.

The Naked Truth was easy to devour. In it, you will meet Gray and Layla. They were cute and definitely deserved their second chance at love with one another. Of course, they walk back into each other's lives when the other just magically got over the other. Yeah, 'magically'. It didn't last long because of course their hearts still pitter pattered at the sight of one another.

I liked them both but Gray was definitely more lovable in my eyes. Not saying I didn't love Layla.. but I get why she did the things she did because she didn't want to get hurt again. Trust me, I get it. I just wanted her to let loose and let him back into her heart. Sometimes people deserve their second chance with each other because maybe they both needed to grow up in one way or another.

In the end, this was adorable, cute, and sweet. Ate it all up and can't wait for my next book by Vi!

Layla's a high-powered attorney. Gray is an ex-con who is also her ex. And he wants her back. [Insert all the hijinks here.]

I didn't love it, didn't hate it. Though I will say I think there were a few too many "curve balls" thrown in there. Like all. The. Curve balls. And somehow they all felt super formulaic. I did think that Layla and Gray had some good chemistry, so I think if you're already a Vi Keeland fan, you'll probably love this book.

I’m choosing not to rate this book because I don’t even think I got passed 15%. I’m DNFing the crap outta this book.

Spoilers ahead, although I don’t think it’s too spoilery since I barely started the book.

Just in the first few pages, the male MC learns that the woman he wants a second chance with has a current boyfriend, and he straight up tells the boyfriend he doesn’t care they’re dating and is still going after her. Stand up guy, ladies and gents. The female MC, who has a boyfriend, lies to her boyfriend multiple times about the male MC and that just rubs me the absolute wrong way. She’s a real honest one, y’all. And THEN we find out the male MC has a wife?! I don’t even care to learn their back story or read how they obviously patch things up because I can already tell I will hate these characters. I really should have read the other reviews first because I wouldn’t have even attempted to read this book because cheating/OW/OM drama is NOT my jam. It’s one thing if the characters have an ex that won’t leave them alone, or they break up with a significant other for other reasons other than the fact that they met someone new, but this is clearly not one of those situations so I’m OUT. I’m not giving up on this author, because I’ve read other books by her I’ve really enjoyed. Actually, my last 5 star read was one of hers, but this book is not my cuppa.
