A strong second in the series, the reveal at the end was a bit "stagey" but still fitted in well and played within the rules

A good mystery.  I did not like the audio reader so much and that is part of the lower rating.  The mystery is good overall.

I thought I would give the second book in the series a read (as they are free on Amazon Kindle!) I can't say I was won over by this book either. The plot is slow, and the characters are just as uninteresting as in the first book.

I must admit, I did learn all about the Stradivarius string instruments, and found this fascinating.

I can't say I'll be rushing out to grab the third book in the series!
