I am not a philosophy major. What little I know about philosophy I'm having to scrape together and hope being self-taught doesn't come back and bite me in the butt someday. It is particularly daunting to encounter so many schools of thought, with names ending in "-ism." I was pleased to find the author's website, but, on learning the same material could be found in a small book of his, I went ahead and bought the book. And I'm glad I did. The book is short. It's not an in-depth tutorial on philosophy. But I learned so much by reading it. Many times I can gauge the value of a book to me by how many times I marked something in it with a highlighter. In this case, there were numerous examples of highlighting. A worthwhile investment that I will keep on hand.
