I came across this book when I was looking for a fall romance similar to a Hallmark movie. It ended up being more of a summer book, but it still had the small town setting and all of the Hallmark vibes! It was exactly what I was looking for and I’ll definitely be reading more books by this author.

An easy read. The back said if you are a fan of Hallmark Channel you will like this book. Guilty, I am sometimes a fan of the Hallmark Channel. I thought the characters were good and sometimes you just want to read something nice. And I am a sucker for small, charming towns. I did not know that this was a series - I might read the others (I checked and they are the other female characters' stories.)

Wasn’t up my alley. Made it to chapter 4 then gave up and just finished the last page.

I enjoyed this sweet story of small town living and coming home. Charlotte returns to the home she hasn't visited since she was torn away by her mother as a 10 year old. She is planning on this being a temporary stay but her dad and grandmother want her to stay. Reunited with childhood friends, Charlotte finds the small town is not what her mothers rantings led her to believe and old memories are reawakened. I enjoyed the characters and the dialogue in this charming book.

Charlotte is frightened and returning to her home town of Hope Lake because she has no where else to go. Her mother moved her to New York City when she was 10 and Charlotte has never returned. In fact Charlotte's mother made Hope Lake sound so horrible Charlotte never wanted to return and with her father and grandmother visiting her in New York City she never had to. What Charlotte finds in Hope Lake surprises her, it is nothing like her mother described. In Hope Lake Charlotte finds what she never knew she was missing, family, friends, and community. A story of becoming yourself.
Thanks to the publishers and the NetGalley for providing an ARC for my honest review.

A solid romance novel with relatable characters. I absolutely loved Emma and Cooper’s story, so I was worried that Charlotte and Henry’s wouldn't live up to my prior experience. But they did.

I really wanted to like this one but it was just MEH. It was predictable from the beginning. There was really no suspense leading up to who she’d end up with. Also once she finally did get together with the guy it actually felt like out of left field. Many parts felt clunky and disjointed. I think it needed better editing. The story idea was good but it just didn’t come together well. And lots of things were just left unfinished at the end but not in a suspenseful way but almost as if characters in the book were just forgotten about.
