you will all be happy to know that the book actually explains the whole metal shoulder/movement thing. not necessarily a good explanation, of course, but an explanation just the same.

Erotic steampunk romance filled with naval airship battles between British and Hapsburg forces. The captain is a Man o' War, given special metal enhancements that transform him a fearsome warrior. His former lover is a British Naval Intelligence officer caught behind enemy lines. Their past history makes the character conflict work, allowing them to remember how things were and how things have changed. I'd like to see other Man o' Wars or get more insight into the history to see how each are different.
