3.75 (but a 4 in the sense that it was a romance without major misunderstandings—a trope that has become too common in NA)

Eh the first few pages were so cringey that I almost DNF'd but I kept going and it got significantly better once the two main characters were on the porch (end of chapter 1). And from there everything was very sweet. Between the cringe and some grammar errors, I gave it a 3.

This was such a fun and sweet story and definitely sexy. I enjoyed every minute of it. The banter was brilliant and I laughed out loud so many times. The characters were smart and swoony and this was a great slow burn. I love seeing the progression of their relationship. I definitely look forward to more from this series and from Sara.

This book had me from the first chapter. It wasn't filled with drama or huge misunderstandings. Instead, it was a build up of two people getting to know each other., developing a friendship, and growing from there. Everything about them was endearing from their games to their banter, to them -- both as individuals and who they were together.

The whole story was mainly just about them. Very limited interactions with secondary characters (until his parents toward the end) and yet I never got bored. Each word I easily gobbled up because I just wanted to watch this relationship unfold. Scarlet and Rowdy (Sterling is such a cool name btw) are a perfect example of why so many girls wish for that happily ever after--because they too want to love and be loved like that.

I went backwards in listening to this series and I am kinda happy about it. I did enjoy this one, because come on, rowdy and Scarlett were amazing and this story was adorable, but I enjoyed the others just a bit more. I loved the premise so much tho. They were so sweet together. The narration was perfect too!

No third act break up. Not even a big challenge getting together. Easy, funny. Lots of games played (would you rather/true and false/have you ever). Fun characters.
