That was... not what I expected. There's no real plot and the graphics look like those early internet point-and-click adventure games I used to play.

Cute computer generated illustrations but the story itself is a little clunky. (And can I just mention that the fact that both babysitters are female is a bit annoying?!? Why not change it up instead of giving us the same old thing?) This one just didn't wow me, it's not bad, but it didn't wow me.

A silly story about kids and their babysitter from another planet. Fine for a storytime about space, but nothing spectacular.
Also, both babysitters are female, so not really trying....

What fun! You don't see too many straight-up science fiction picture books these days. I loved that it was all very straightforward. :)

I didn't get it. What...just...what?

The only reason it's getting two stars and not one is because I do enjoy his illustrations, but this was a disappointment for me, as I'm usually a fan of Savage's books.

With only a few words per page, this picture book shares the story of a brother and sister who encountered a babysitter from another planet when their mom and dad went out to the movies. This babysitter can do everything a human babysitter can do and MORE, including making the children float through the house. The artwork was created using digital techniques.

The story was fine. There wasn't really a conflict that felt urgent or necessary. Just a pretty straight forward story of an alien babysitter that did basic caregiving but with "quirky" powers. Nonetheless, I actually did enjoy the illustrations.
