As someone who has ADHD, I find it difficult to pause and think about what I'm going to say. This book probably has good tips and can help certain folks, but like another review stated, it's neurotypical-based. My brain doesn't work like that.

Some of the advice is also pretty glaringly obvious. It's the kind of social things they teach you to do in elementary or middle school that never end up being able to work out in real life. (i.e. when am I supposed to find time to write a whole essay just to ask my parents for a change? I literally just ask my parents for things. Don't have to put in all that effort for a simple yes or no).

Reread this childhood book of mine from the fifth grade. It was one of my very first self-help books, and I can’t help but laugh and marvel at how much this book helped me throughout my middle school years. Unknowingly, some of its contents still stick with me today.
