The Likeness by Tana French

The beginning was preposterous and the ending ridiculous but mashed up in between it all was an entertaining whodunnit. Full of emotional tension and wanting for lives not had, lost and otherwise. I enjoyed this tale of Cassie as much as I enjoyed the tale of Rob previous. The ending, the end end for Cassie, was so out of character compared to the rest of the book. It just seemed shoehorned in. I enjoyed In the Woods a lot more as it left me feeling dishelveled, not frustrated and eye-rolling.

It’s been awhile since I cried over a book and its characters. This one was amazing, I was obsessed. The connection to fae was really interesting and one of the scenes that stuck out to me. The ending alone makes this a memorable book for me.

Love this author!

Second Tana French book this month, and very happy to have read both. This one I liked even more than the first- as that one left some unanswered questions. Her writing is so descriptive and poetic.

I love Tana French so much. I'm making my way through her Dublin Murder Squad series for a second time and it's just as amazing as the first time.
