I was hoping for more. I dived into a mysterious world of sense and never came out the other end. I feel like there so much yet to understand that is still being researched regarding this unique but common touch, which might not be revealed to me in my life time.
A wonderful book, I have not read many a scientific book and this one was a pleasure to read. There is much anatomical and physiological explanation that might mimick a medical textbook, but the author did a fantastic job of making It easy and interesting by connecting researches, medical conditions and even personal experiences so that the reader can relate to it.
Often times I find myself laughing out loud to the authors witty and humorous remarks and personal experiences. This is far from a boring book.
I found answers to so many personal experiences that I didn't know I had to question. Thank you 👍

Chatty and anecdotal in places, and then highly technical in others - I wish the tone had evened out a little. Overall, this book was very informative, and I picked up some useful tidbits.

read this book if you want to understand the power of touch for our own understanding of the world and relationships. It is very science but Lindens writing voice is fun to read and makes big scientific portions feel smooth and digestible

Interesting, but I found it a bit dense. Perhaps this is just because I have not read a research paper since high school.

Update. Bailed. Maybe reading instead of listening would be better, so there could be skimming.
Initial thoughts:
Um. Every chapter there's something unrelated to the subject that annoys me. So far the author has unironically quoted Lolita, downplayed unwanted touch, and referred to a harem. I enjoyed the Pleasure book, so I'll try a little more, but I might not make it through.
