I was excited to read this book about Angus because of what happened in the first book. I loved it. I was super intrigued and hoked from the first page on. Angus was exactly the kinda of tortured hero you love to read about. Gwen was pretty great also she was tough and good grief for her to stand up to a man who just stormed your castle and claimed it as his own was awesome! It had some great filling from where the story left off in the first book. I can not wait to read Lachlan's book!

This is my favourite. I loved the way Gwen stood up for herself whole way through. Angus and Gwen struggled with each other through start but warmed quickly then turned quickly to romance then love even though Angus says he doesn't have a heart to give to her.
Lots of drama throughout book and great reconciliation with old friends.
Loved every book, great HEA.

I really enjoyed this book - even better that the first in the series, and this from the girl who's been disappointed by so many 'highlander' heroes.
To be honest I wasn't sure how I would feel about Angus, our hero, but his conflict and character arc was satisfying. I especially loved the strong secondary female characters, Onora and Raonaid. The story was meaty enough, and I enjoyed the twists and turns. This book will go into that rare pile of mine that is the "keep to re-read on a rainy day" - I don't have too many books that I keep in this catagorey, but apparently I've been "Claimed by the Highlander" :) Looking forward to the finale of this series.

I loved Angus and Gwendolyn their chemistry was palpable and I felt their relationship was natural and never felt forced. I love Julianne MacLean and she has found a fan for life!!

This one was much better than the first one. It still wasn't fantastic but it was alright.

This book is a small and milder version of GOT. Less drama. Less characters. But dont get it wrong. It has many plot about betrayal and complexity from secondary characters. It is entertaining.
I like Gwendoline fierceness. She is a kick ass heroine. She never gives up on her husband even though Angus has some doubt about her loyalty.
I feel the middle of the book is dragging. And i think the plot getting thicker but resolved too quickly. So I only give this book 3 stars.
