Thank you to #NetGalley for the ARc of Make or Break at the Lighthouse B&B in exchange for an honest review.
This is my introduction to Portia MacIntosh's writing. Make or Break at the Lighthouse B&B is a delightful story. I recommend it if you are looking for something lighthearted to read. It is filled with the right amount of elements and many funny moments

Delightful, funny, endearing - Portia MacIntosh delivers a good one once again. It was really a nice story (and I mean that in all the positive aspects of the word nice, not sarcastically or anything). Does it rock your world and change your views about life and such? No … but it doesn't need to, as the aim, to me, is to pass a good time reading about human, relatable characters with their flaws and humanness, all in an engaging voice and prose that really make the pages flow and keeps you enthralled. It was a joy to see Lola awaken as the person she was meant to be, leaving behind the one she was supposed to be. And yes, the geese scene - totally worth it!

Once again a fun book with lovable characters. I suffered and laughed with Lola and couldn’t put the book away until the end.

I’ve already read a few Portia Macintosh books and enjoyed them all, only downside: after a couple of books they blend into each other, as the basic storyline stays the same - heroine has a shattered (love-)life and has to go through lots of mishaps to find her hapiness.

This book definitely made being up half the night with earache bearable.
I have to be honest, I am a huge fan of Portia’s and I am yet to read a book I have disliked. I am always instantly pulled into the pages and absolutely adore the stories as they unfold. This one has been no different. This is a gorgeous read which is guaranteed to leave you smiling.
This is one which has:
Romance ✅
Loveable characters ✅
Fantastic plot ✅

I have devoured this book in a matter of hours, it has gripped me and I have been excited to see how the story plays out.
There is literally nothing to dislike about this gorgeous, five star read. I wish I could rate this higher than five stars, it is definitely highly deserving.
A huge thank you to Portia and HQ Digital for the ARC of this book. I cannot wait to see what else 2020 holds. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
