Oh my goodness! This book is everything! The characters the sexual tension! Woo! Melisandre is such a badass! And the men who can't stay away from her! Damn!!! It was amazing how she had to fight for her life and how she had to regain her very self throughout this book! She would not take any shit from anyone! And don't even get me started on the males in this book, OH GIRL!!! You need to read this book and I can't wait for the sequel!

This was fine, but I kind of found myself skimming to get to the end. I just wasn’t really invested in any of the characters, even the FMC. It’s not that I didn’t like them, I just didn’t give a shit if she was with them. I didn’t feel any of the pull or chemistry to any of them. Hell, her little jokey nickname with one of them is literally “friend” and it’s about the unsexiest thing ever.

I also found some of the dialogue to be a bit cringey and unrealistic for an angel who fell from heaven not for sinning but as a coverup.

I did like the stuff about the fighting pits, and I thought that was a cool setting.

I really like the character of Vyra, who I find more interesting than any of the main characters lol.

Personally, I would have liked to see the corruption of a fallen angel happen a little more gradually. This isn’t an actual critique, it’s just my personal preference.

There's barely any plot in the book. Just a girl with four guys, lot's of sexual tension, constantly eye fucking each other, with some actual fucking. Who are we kidding we don't read this type of books for the plot. Don't hang your hopes on characters either. Only 2 out of 4 of the men's personality were fleshed out, but again it was only just. The other two could be switched out and we'd hardly noticed it. It's trashy but hey I'm in the mood for trash.

Oh my, there really is no slow brakes in this story. My first read from author Cate Corvin and it was exhilarating from start to finish. I wouldn't consider this a slow burn reverse harem which I totally onboard as slow-burn can be too boring for me. Although I enjoyed this book and its characters, I just wish there's more world building. It would be nice to see more character development for the MCs as well.

Enjoyable book and I'm glad I'm late to the party as I get to binge all 5 books with no waiting in between.

Yay I finally found a series that broke my reading slump! Great RH, strong FMC, fun world building and I can’t wait for the next one!
