Kaname is on a rampage and the metal that is used to create the vampire hunting weapons has gone berserk and is killing all the pure bloods who bring people into darkness which killed Sara and almost Kaname but then he said I’ll take your place so now hes going to kill himself in the fire thing to become the new furnace or something and Yuki is planning to stop Kaname by turning him human so she erases Zeros memories of her which is a fucking catastrophe and a mistake and a sin for pets sake. She’s so dumb to do that.Does she even know how to? she is a baby vampire after all. I’m scared to see the ending of this series because I have a feeling it’s not going to be pleasant. Also Yukis parents old friend is setting a masquerade trap and Kaname goes there and tells him to turn Yuki human and he agrees because hes tired of being immortal. Also, at that masquerade Yuki and Zero kiss and dance. Kaname sees them kiss... but ig it doesn't really matter because he’s probably going to die anyway.

yuki

yuki what are you doing

yuki stop

this is like ten levels of not okayness you are perpetrating on zero right now

i yelled at the tenth doctor for like two days for doing the exact same thing you're doing and at least he did it to save donna's life

memory wipes are up there in the top ten worst things you can do to a person

i was just settling into having hope for you two again too

what is going to happen in the upcoming final volume? clearly i do not and never have had a clue

3 stars

Well, Yuki surprised me as well as Kaname! Oh my goodness! I did not expect what happened. I had hopes and then went on a rollercoaster with Kaname and really wanted something else, but one more to go and we will see.

Like Fables, which I just reviewed, Vampire Knight is really getting into gear again as it nears its ending, which for this series is in the next volume. And I find myself really enjoying the series again, though not quite as much as I did at the beginning.

There is still a lot of action that is a bit hard to follow, and logic that is even more difficult, but it's the character moments that really shine. In one of her side-bars, Hino talks about the fact that she wasn't able to do as much with her characters as she wanted to but that she loves them all anyway and I am definitely with her there.

Of course, the best moments for me are anything that develop the Yuki/Zero relationship and this volume contains one of their best scenes in the whole series, which is the main reason it is a four-star volume.

I actually already know some of what happens in the next volume but after this, I am very excited to read it and see one of my favourite series come to an end.
