I really should be used to Elle's curveballs by now but she has once again rattled me to my core.
The relationship between the four of them really heated up in this book. Feelings, desire, lust, want—it all just streamed from the page, I needed to fan myself a few times because phew! It got steamy.
While most of the book is centered around the prison, I really enjoyed the other little snippets that were included. Ripley and Norma, Boston, Will and Tori were able to give my heart a little happy in between the chaos.
I think I have even more questions after finishing this book than I did going into it.
The cliffhangers are stellar, if not a little painful.
The ending is so delightfully placed even I had an evil cackle when I finished.
I can't wait to see what she has in store for us next!

Not what I was expecting
Just when I think I got it figured out, Elle Thorpe throws another twist and turn into the plot and storyline.

What the actually ffing.
What did I just read? I read it in one sitting! The angst, the romance, the bromance,..!!! Oommgggg.
I love Liam even more then in book 1 and Rowe I became to love!!!
I do understand the connection and love between Rowe and Mae, and Liam and Mae. I still can’t really feel it betdeen Heath and Mae. I think it’s more an old love kinda thing? That botters me a little. But the friendship and love between Rowe and Liam , made up for it. It really was so good. I even find the attraction between Rowe and Heath more logical and palpable then between Mae and Heath.
You really see that Liam and Rowe are friends and that they allow each other to develop the connection with Mae at their own pace. Rowe and Mae weren’t at all at the same place in their relationship as Mad and Liam. But it didn’t matter, because they each respected it. They gave each other room for it. It’s actually my first RH where the men are that close with each other’s relationships. I think I prefer this.
Can’t wait on the third book. The ending was brutal.

Thorpe upped the plot and the spice, loved every second. Started the third immediately. 4.5/5 stars

I think I liked this book a bit more than the first, probably because there was more escalation in their four way relationship and the storyline had some big advances. The sexy time is hot, there is some MM in this book, so if you like that you'll probably like this book, if it's not your thing it's not frequent anyway. Read both books in one day, will read the next one tomorrow. Looking forward to the end of the trilogy.
