DNF'd. I got tired of reading this, sorry. Two of the three stories were duds, in my opinion, and I think that's enough. Flowery language truly isn't my thing, especially if it overshadows characters and plot. 2 stars says it's okay and I'm gonna go with that.

This was made up of 3 short stories. I enjoyed the first two stories- they were written with a lovely sort of sensory detail that you might find in a Francesca Lia Block story. The third story I found a bit of a struggle to get through, and the fantasy element didn't work for me. But I would recommend this to anyone who liked FLB or was interested in reading some paranormal romance without committing to a series.

I'm really amazed by how brilliant this author is. She managed to squeeze three amazing stories in just a few pages.

I didn't actually like the third story all that much, 3.5 for that one, 4 for both of the others.

Since childhood I've always enjoyed short stories. It's good to feel it again at mid 20s hehe! No doubt, it will do me again and again everytime I encounter great short stories in the present generation.

Laini Taylor has done a great job putting these together and writing them in such a clever way your fantasies on the "other world" just gets so wildly although sometimes it feels creepy especially the goblins and their fruits.

I'm sure I can re-read this all over anytime and still enjoy it! :)

This book was so unique, dark, magical, sad and so, so beautifully written.

She was a girl and she was a queen and back in the mists she was a woman who seized the moon from the sky and drunk its light so that she would never die.

The Hatchling was definitely my favourite story. I honestly wished there were more pages in that world/story.

The woman he loved was a monster. And she would never love him back.
