A great smart, funny, aggravating, totally romantic football story. My very favorite kind! <3
Ava is one of the most relatable characters I've read lately. Does she mess up... big? Absolutely. But the psychology around it - excuse the technical breakdown here - is spot on. It's why she's so relatable. The human desire to be loved, and have attention from those that are supposed to love us most, causes even the best of us to make some really dumb mistakes.
I was on pins and needles reading a good chunk of this story because the disaster waiting to happen is clear. You know, outside perspective and all. But I only blame Ava a teensy tiny bit... Out of all the opportunities she had to avoid the train wreck, one was most abundant, and most hurtful to Matthew.
Ahhh, Matthew. One of my favorite heros of all. Strong, caring, romantic, and thank goodness a huge capacity for forgiveness.
I went to sleep last night with a huge goofy grin. The epitome of a cheesy romantic comedy that wasn't really a comedy at all. Although Ava is hilarious. And the story isn't cheesy.

This is book 2, although it is a couple per book I recommend reading the series in order as previous characters and couples appear from previous books.
This is Ava and Matthew.
I will start off by saying I am not a fan of a Hero or heroine starting a relationship with the sibling of their ex. To me there is something a bit ew about it.
This book is Matthew and he had a relationship with Ava's sister when they were younger.
I think the amount of time that has passed helps.
Matthew has been married and divorced in the years in between too.
Matthew and Ava are a really fun couple.
Both have issues with their related history.
Ava is a hugely successful woman in her career but it's not a success her family recognise.
They are an amazing couple.
There is no real push and pull, the romance happens relatively quickly once they reconnect.
They are all about each other but they have an issue with his past with her family.
There is another charecters story being lined up in the background.
The heroine hasn't had a boyfriend in sometime and the Hero isn t a manwhore type, in fact he says he doesn't do ONS.
HEA.
Epilogue.
