Micky Haller and Harry Bosch are 2 of Michael Connelly's most significant characters. In this case, Haller (aka the Lincoln Lawyer) is called in to pick up the pieces of a law practice, after a colleague is murdered. His major problem is he's picked up a famous client who is involved in one of those "cases of the century" that can either make or break you, and the client is looking likely to break Haller with his uncontrollable antics. Bosch, Connelly's other character is involved, because he's investigating the death of the first lawyer.
I couldn't really get into this book. Haller, and the character Haller defends aren't particularly likeable. I get that "every defendant is entitled to a defense, but that doesn't mean I have to read about it.
In addition the book felt rather clinical, expository (Connelly seemed to want to explain everything), and "by the numbers". Anyone who has seen a murder mystery film or read a similar book in the last 10 years had a good idea of what would happen.
In short, I really couldn't get behind the characters, or the book, here.

OMG, The Lincoln Lawyer Brass Verdict was an amazing read! Lots of twists and turns and constantly kept me on my feet, however it is a bit of a longer book so keep that in mind if you want to read it.
