Overview

I decided to copy the 2019 prompts to a new challenge with no start and end dates. This way, if you are behind (like me 🤣🤣) or you just found it you can join in on the fun!

Original description:

Thank you for your interest in the Flourish and Blotts reading group’s 2020 reading challenge!  We hope you’ll join us in our Facebook group, “HPOOTP-Flourish and Blotts” to suggest books, share your progress and journey around the Wizarding World with us! If you also happen to be a planner, please join us in our main group, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Planners”-The Most Magical Planning Group on Facebook!

This year, you will once again get to choose your challenge! You will be taking a tour of the Wizarding Schools around the Wizarding World! There are 7 prompts that you must complete (in any order) to visit each school.  You can visit as many or as few schools as you would like! Once you have completed all seven prompts, you have officially “visited” that school and stamped your passport for that leg of our journey! Schools can be visited in any order.

If you visit 3 schools, you will reach the Tri-Wizard Champion Level.
If you visit 5 schools, you will be a Floo Fanatic
If you visit all 8 schools, you’re the Supreme Mugwomp of the International Confederation of Wizards!

We hope you enjoy the challenge!  We wanted to mix things up a little this year and give prompts that you can interpret as you want!  Feel free to stretch prompts and be creative about their fit.  For example, one of our prompts is “involving potions”, but feel free to substitute the Muggle versions of these--Mixing Drinks or Cooking! All formats of reading (Physical, e-book, audiobook) count and any title that’s listed on Goodreads may be used! Books should only be used for one prompt in the challenge (though we won’t put you in Azkaban if you do!)

This challenge is set up like a travel guide at first, with the footnotes marking each school’s challenge!  Don’t worry though, if you’re looking for them all together (or don’t care about the travel guide to each school!), feel free to hop ahead to the last pages!

This challenge isn’t a competition or for group points.  You don’t have to participate and it’s just for fun!  If you’d like a group to discuss what books you’re reading for each prompt or ask for suggestions, please feel free to join our Facebook group, HPOOTP-Flourish and Blotts!

Happy Reading!
