Isaac Asimov's REF (Robots, Empire, Foundation) series, in the order recommended by the author, with the modification that the Foundation prequels are read last. Also added a few additional works (as bonus prompts) that he did not include in his recommendations. This roughly amounts to reading each of the three series in its chronological order, while following publication order within the series themselves.
