Overview

A Novel Little Summer Reading Challenge will take place between June 10 and Sept. 2 (Labor Day). The challenge is to read 50 books in this time frame; those who complete this quest will be rewarded at the end with a cupcake party graciously hosted by Sweet Encounter in Downtown Lansing, Michigan. Since it’s difficult to wait for cupcakes under any circumstance, we also want to reward the efforts of our readers along the way by giving out smaller prizes for every 10 books read. 

While this challenge is open to kids of all ages, it is primarily designed for children between the ages of 3 and 10. Parents/guardians/kids will be able to track progress virtually via our StoryGraph link (available in bio) or physically with a log available via download on our website. Stop by A Novel Concept after every 10th book read throughout the summer and show us your progress to collect a small prize, and we will be in touch with cupcake party plans at the end of summer for those who’ve reached the 50 book mark!
