The Silent D in Diversity Reading Challenge 2022
16 participants (71 books)
01 Jan 2022—31 Dec 2022
Overview
Disability is often forgotten about or overlooked when diversity is on the table. As a person with a disability, I realized this representation was missing from my own bookshelves.
This reading challenge focuses on twelve prompts (one book a month) where disability topics are a central topic or theme.
It is a no-pressure challenge. Read one prompt, all, or anywhere in between the purpose is to get you thinking more about disability in your reading intensions.
Note: unless otherwise stated, books can be fiction or non-fiction. Own voice is strongly encouraged as much as possible.
This challenge was on The Storygraph as "Barriers Swept Away Reading Challenge - 2021" previously.
