They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera
3.0
3 stars. So it was a middle of the road kind of book.
My issue was that because I knew they were gonna die, I didn't care to develop a strong connection with them. So the thing that made the book so different also limited my enjoyment of it. Because I really loved this Dystopian setting of End Day and Death Cast and all..
My favorite parts were the ones where lives of people intertwined.
I also like how each of them has a distinct voice and character- you'd know who's talking at all times
In the beginning I was leaning more towards Mateo, but when they met Rufus had no one true but I would've appreciate it more if he cared what he wanted to do because even the activities they did were mostly Mateo's ideas- Make-A-Moment foundation/ The River.. etc
I expected there'd be a chapter after the last one.. So I was let down a little but i wasn't so mad at the ending. I think it did its job, except for Delilah (which we never got a solid ending for).
