Ok, so I really loved this book! The characters were great, I love the whole main crew, and the plot was interesting. The team dynamics are such a joy to read, I can't wait to see what happens next.
I would also literally die for Zofia.
I understand that the book is YA, but while reading it I kept getting confused because I felt like the characters were supposed to be older than they are. Just based on where in their lives they are, that would've made more sense. I can't really explain it, it was just the impression I got.
It would have gotten a full five stars from me if not for the fact that I felt like putting down the book every time Laila and Séverin interacted. Their relationship felt very awkward to me, and I really could've done without it. I am however not a fan of romance, so I'm sure many out there will not feel the same as me.
The ending wrecked me, and I will never forgive the author for lulling me into a false sense of security and then brutally murdering my baby. I'm gonna have trust issues now.
