This was a really sweet romance that felt at times almost like a very intentional response to Julia Quinn's "there were no people of color then" comments. The romance was swoon worthy with lots of fantastic balls and walks and fantastic yearning. The end lost me a little. For one, the sex scenes were just very very not to my taste. And then there was a convoluted - but not unexpected - climax. Overall, a book I will recommend and a series I can't wait to continue.
