So I’ve typed out and deleted the start of this review several times because my words seem to be failing me on how to describe this book. I loved it start to finish. I loved the breakdown of the story in two parts to where you get the history of the main characters in the first half and the resolution in the second.
Pros: the main characters all have distinct personalities and flaws, the writing style is wonderful and paced well, the resolution at the end is everything you want. There are some lovely references to Evelyn Hugo
Cons: the extra POVs from side characters could be a little confusing at times but overall doesn’t detract from the story a ton. I wish we had gotten more time with Hudson’s POV. Mick Riva got off too easy in the end.
