oh this is BEAUTIFUL. There's dark fantasy, witches, and magic, but there's also commentary on patriarchy and broken generational ties...the plight of women and the sea-faring feels that makes you want to find a house by the sea and read this book while you drink a cup of tea. I THOROUGHLY enjoyed this one from the beginning, and as a reader who becomes loyal to authors, I will confidently say that A.G. Slatter has a reader outta me
