This book is honestly mainly vibes. I liked the spooky atomosphere of it and I wanted to know more about the mutations. However the characters were lacking for me. Hetty has no original thoughts and honestly she’s not that great of a character. I would have much rather had Reese’s perspective. Especially after the deleted chapter! Byatt was so undeveloped it sucked. I didn't hate that the ending was ambiguous, or all the lies. I just wish the characters would have been better.
