The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang

3.0

Kiss Quotient is an average romcom, but what might set it apart for many readers can be it's diversity, and uniqueness that it brings in which is almost never seen in romcoms. The main character has autism, and she finds it hard to achieve physical intimacy, so to tackle this problem effectively, she invites an escort to help her out.
It's probably one of the first books I've ever read where the wealth difference tips in favour of the female lead, as in, the female lead is richer and able to financially sustain both of them, whereas the male love interest is the one who struggles to keep afloat and needs money desperately.
The unique way in which Kiss Quotient broke stereotypes is definitely a win for the book, since most of it is the basic blueprint for every romcom. It does get a little unrealistic sometimes, and has an unnecessary 'miscommunication' trope moment towards the end but oh well, you can't be too nit-picky when you picked up a book to simply RELAX and ENJOY.
