This book sucked me in. I am not typically a fantasy reader and there were times where I was telling my husband to shh because I literally could not stop reading. 

I didn't like all of the side characters because it was hard for me to be invested in each one. I still feel like I have a hard time sometimes having a visual for a character that I've read 1100 pages about because there are just too many dang characters. Along this line, there are parts of this book that are not fully developed and lead to confusion. The runes, alloy, etc. are things I get at a high level but not in depth. It's also just too long!! 

It was a very fun, engaging, thrilling read so that leads me to 3.75!
