Abbey certainly has a way with words. No one can capture the magic of the desert quite like him. I think that he’s a total dick and says plenty of things that are really reflective of the time in which this was written, but he sure loves the desert like no other. Hearing what he had to say about my favorite part of the world brought me to tears many times. Humbling and beautiful.
