The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes

3.0

Overall I enjoyed this book. I found it really engaging, I just wanted to keep reading and find out what was going on. This book told the story of Stella Sweeney from the present and the past. It started with where her life is now and then jumped back to how she got there, and the first bit of the book flips between the two. I was a bit confused when this first happened because I didn’t realise what was happening, and nothing really was said to make it clear, but once I figured it out I was fine.

Every now and then, mainly at the start, there were little hints at things that had previously happened to her, a tiny mention of something that left me intrigued as to what she is talking about, and what she was talking about is made clear later on in the book, during the flashbacks, when the things she hinted at were actually happening. I liked that it did this as it made the story feel more natural, more like the main character was allowing you to see her life rather then just having her spell it out for you.
