Disability Visibility: First-Person Stories From the Twenty-first Century by Alice Wong

challenging emotional hopeful inspiring reflective medium-paced

4.5

I loved how different these stories were, how they are own voices, and how they are all grouped together in one text. I loved how they are sectioned out into 4 parts and how they are similar and different at the same time.

I really think this should be required reading. The stories are short and easy to digest so I think this would be a great intro for someone looking for a way to educate themselves. I think this confirms that I will read anything Alice Wong edits/writes.

I would love a part two of this. I think that it is always important to hear different stories about different experiences and I really enjoyed reading these.
