Oh my gosh that’s all I can say. It was an absolutely a beautiful written book how do I even start? Firstly I just got instantly transported into the early 1900 and honestly I loved it I just wanted to be in it (for the beginning at least) I also have to admit I fell in love the Peaceful family and Molly and I wish I could of warned or helped them. I also must admit I fell in love in particular with one of the characters Charlie. He to me seems like the perfect man. I felt lots of different emotions during the course of this book some that I’m used to-anger, longing, love, excitement, nervousness but one that really struck me like a bolt and it was sadness. I hate reading books that make me cry and I shedded lots of tears today in fact I couldn’t read the last two pages very well because I mommy voice cracked and I just balled my eyes out every sentence but I can’t state how much I love this book I would read it again in a heartbeat. This book was on top of all that very informative about the 1st World War. I took in my opinion a long time to read this book because of words I have never heard before and it really thought me something. While reading I had to think, I had to connect the dots I had to think about the time period and what is different back then. To be honest I am not used to having to do that because normally I read fantasy and romance so that was a nice change.

But overall this might literally be my favourite World War 1 book it showed lots of informative information. It was really well described too. I felt so many overwhelming emotions like love, anger, sorrow, tension, happiness, disappointment, pain, and disbelief. These characters have a place in my heart and I think it sheds some new light on the real soldiers who fought and especially the ones who died. I just love this book.
