It's Getting Later All the Time by Antoni Tabucchi

5.0

Shades of Calvino and Borges in this collection of letters. Tabucchi calls it a novel in his postscript, but I don't feel it functions in the way we usually expect novels to. The letters are all, apart from the last, written by men and addressed to women and there are some common threads that go through them but for the most part they feel independent and vary in style and approach. They're all highly allusive and thoroughly enjoyable to read.
