I got an ARC of An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson and saw that it was a retelling of Carmilla, so I wanted to listen to this first - and also work toward my goal of reading at least 2 classics this year.

Carmilla is nice and short, the audiobook around 2 hours long, easy to follow, and enjoyable. I agree with others that it has Sapphic undertones, which makes it all the more likeable It had a lot of elements I've come to expect from classic horror literature,
