Some of it was lovely, especially the window into Iranian culture, but the writing was a little overwrought and the plot felt a bit like every other romance I’ve read where someone hides something and then it explodes and then they become a better person to try to get their person back… which would be a spoiler if it weren’t so obvious from the beginning.
