it could have been 4 stars but tbh I felt like this could've been writing in so much less pages. at least 100 pages didn't really matter, they only add unnecessary drama and it was kind of ughhh to see it never ending until the actually last page, it was dreading.

leaving that aside, I did enjoy the book.
once you get used to the narrative garber likes to use, the book is kind of like a never ending adventure. there's always things happening, mysteries to discover, that even they could be cliché, they are still nice to read. it manages to be funny and make you scream WHAT THE FUCK with some revelation.
my fav character is definitely tella, I admire her strong will, how mischievous she is and how she never stops fighting for what she wants.
with scarlet.. I don't have anything against her but honestly she didn't do it for me. her povs were borderline boring for me, there's nothing that I could use to form some kind of connection with her. I don't think she's dumb or pathetic, I usually like her type of character because strength takes different forms but.. idk she just didn't do it for me. I did like how she tried to be more adventurous and take the wheel of her own story, oh and when she does it and then something happens and she says why did I do it??? it was funny likes she's trying.

the boys.. well julian was there. I did like him and scarlett, nice couple cute story, but that's it. I don't know what it is but they just didn't click with me.

now legend.. I felt he and tella were something else. they felt more deep and human, complex characters even. their story was more angsty and somehow more heartwarming. I loved them.

jacks is definitely a interesting character, can't wait to read his trilogy and figure out what the fuck was all this 3rd book for him lol.
