I had no idea what this was when I picked it up--from the title I imagined some beautiful, mysterious, melancholy heroine and I couldn't be more wrong. Nimona is a killing machine and also hilarious and determined to become a sidekick to her favorite supervillain, who himself has a complicated relationship with his former heroic (or not) boyfriend. Anything goes in the world where science and magic co-exist. Definitely recommend.
