Disclaim by Pam Godwin

What a ride!

Disclaim is the third book in Pam Godwin’s “Deliver” series, with the focus on a character that the reader was introduced to previously, named Camila. If you have not read Deliver or Vanquish, you should not read Disclaim as the series is interconnected and things will not make sense.

Camila’s story is completely unique from the previous two books in the series. Her character is incredibly endearing to me. Her drive and passion really shine through her actions and convictions. I couldn’t help but love her! This book is incredibly immersive. My friend described reading this book best - it felt like watching a movie – the sights, sounds, and smells described made it feel like I was in the room, experiencing what each of the characters were experiencing.

I will not go into any additional details of the story as it is bound to reveal spoilers, but I will say, I completely devoured this book! When I wasn’t reading it, it consumed my thoughts, and I couldn’t wait to get back to reading it. The plot twists were – ugh, “chef’s kiss!” I highly recommend this series to readers interested in dark romance and finding love amidst the horrors of human trafficking. Godwin’s dedication at the beginning of the book to victims of those crimes was quite touching, and I felt her empathy toward the crimes committed daily against real victims weaved throughout the story.
