Wow, what a ride! This book had everything you could possibly want. It had romance, spice, action, mystery, and suspense. 

I loved our main character, Naeve. She was a total badass. Some of her fighting scenes were very gory, but I loved how strong she was after everything she went through in this book. 

Kaan was another great character. He was nothing like I was expecting a 'tyrant' king to be, especially with his brothers being who they were. He was such a warm-hearted and genuine character that I got a bit emotional when he laid his heart out on the line. 

I liked Pyrok and thought he was a fun side character, and I loved the dragons! 

The world building was exceptional, I loved how they communicated through parchment larks, the runes, and magic that did all different aspects, e.g, healing, hiding places. I also loved the songs for the different creators as well, such a unique story. 

I hated Zharos with a passion! (Just to put it out there.)
