To be honest, I started liking this book only from the moment she became immortal—a sort of goddess. And that took place somewhere in the middle of the book, so I really had to wait a bit for things to move me.

I don`t know what to say about the plot being moved on by the prospect of their unliving-undying-unborn needing to be birthed. I was not that much into it.

I did not like that throughout this book and the first one, I felt so alone with these characters. I understand that he is a death god and she is his mistress, but couldn`t they have had a bit of a more social life? The brothers were not enough. One was too much, the other too little.

I mean, how would I know, I, as a reader, that they indeed were so smart and fearsome if I had nothing to compare them to? (The parts where they would pillage random villages on some vengeance pretext do not count).

I was not that into this book, but it was good enough that I finished it relatively quickly. It also has to be mentioned that the person writing this seems to be a debutant author and I wholeheartedly want to encourage them to write in the future. They have real potential.
