Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman
5.0
I was so excited to read this book because Neil Gaiman is an amazing author. Almost like a born storyteller. I have yet to read a book by Neil Gaiman that I didn’t enjoy. All of his stories are unique, creative and vivid. The best way to really describe his stories are that they are like dreams that you can remember and can explain perfectly.
Neverwhere, specifically, is a really good book. I had no idea what I was getting into. The synopsis on the back doesn’t even prepare you for what happens. A London below, a girl named door, and assassins that are never really explained what they are. There is one thing that I really like about Neil Gaiman’s books - he leaves some questions unanswered. Not as plot holes but more like space to allow the reader imagine. His stories never feel confusing or incomplete, which is crazy because his books are crazy. Anyways, Neverwhere is an amazing book and you should definitely read it.
