James is preparing for his first space mission, and that's a very exciting way to start a book indeed! However, we don't start with James, we start in the modern day when humans first learnt of aliens before meeting James in chapter two and discovering how much has changed in the years that followed.

I was pulled in from the very first chapter. I found the world fascinating! I'm starting to love a good sci-fi story :)

I loved Crystaline, the Urashan princess, and I thought her well-paced character arc was beautiful. I love it when you get to know a character and watch them develop like this.

As for James, he's loyal, brave, and caring, the exact type of protagonist I love to follow. A true hero. Well-meaning and sweet.

Over all, Diversion to Urasha is imaginative, charming, and a fun read. There's plenty of action delivered at a great pace. Can't wait to see what happens next!
