All Grown Up by Jami Attenberg

There's so much pain, heartbreak, joy, and humor stretched across the pages of this brief novel. A lamentation on paths not chosen, and the all-consuming paralysis felt from possible paths we can still choose with the time we have left. A book about not knowing what makes us happy, what makes us sad, what makes us want to movie forward or backward, to whatever happens next. Harmonizing with the aching, the longing, are whispers of hope, assuring us that it's okay to not be okay.
