Broken Knight by L.J. Shen
5.0
Every time I read a new All Saints book I can't decide whether I'm elated that I got to know more about these amazing characters or angry that it's over. Does that make sense? The 2nd Generation Hotholes have been nothing but amazing to date and this book effected me in so many ways. Here we dive into the lives of Luna Rexroth and Knight Cole, childhood BFFs who are in absolute love with each other. Having followed these characters from birth, I know that Luna is shy and reserved, but I absolutely loved finally getting an inside look at Luna's thoughts and feelings. She wasn't shy and reserved...she was pissed off and couldn't articulate it - or didn't think she should articulate it. And poor, poor Knight. I really just wanted to scoop him up and love him and take care of him forever. Having two kids in high school myself, I can honestly say that everything about this book was real-world high school. The angst, the out of control partying, the drama - it felt like I could've been reading about my own kids' friends. And then...when you think you know what's happening in the story...then comes the bombshell story that's happening in the background. Grab your tissues! Fan of the original All Saints series or not, YOU WILL NEED TISSUES!
